Cornerstone Psychiatry provides psychiatric care through secure telehealth appointments where permitted by law.
Services are available only to patients located in states where Dr. Joshua Tapia is licensed to practice medicine at the time of the appointment.
Patients are responsible for ensuring they are physically located within an approved state during their scheduled telehealth visit.
4. Appointments
Appointments may be requested online through our scheduling platform.
Submitting an appointment request does not guarantee acceptance or establish care until your appointment has been confirmed.
Cornerstone Psychiatry reserves the right to decline or reschedule appointments when clinically appropriate.
5. Insurance & Billing
Insurance eligibility and coverage are verified through our billing partner, Headway.
Coverage, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance are determined by your insurance carrier and may vary depending on your individual plan.
Patients are responsible for any balances not covered by insurance.
Self-pay options may also be available.
6. Prescription Policy
Medication decisions are made solely at the clinical discretion of Dr. Joshua Tapia.
Not every evaluation results in a prescription.
Certain controlled medications may require additional evaluation, documentation, follow-up appointments, or laboratory testing.
Cornerstone Psychiatry does not guarantee that any specific medication will be prescribed.
7. Emergency Situations
Cornerstone Psychiatry is not an emergency or crisis service.
If you are experiencing:
- Thoughts of harming yourself or others
- A medical emergency
- A psychiatric emergency
Call 911 immediately or visit your nearest emergency department.
You may also contact or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
